In the future most of our electronic equipment at home in the kitchen, along with our personal tech devices will be interfaced. Your iPad will be your cellular phone, your Television, your household energy intelligent grid meter, and it will interface with your auto.
Now then, considering that I've been involved in the auto business, I'd like to clarify to you why we require our tablets and iPads to be interfaced with our vehicles moving forward. If your car needs an oil change, or has required service, or even a recall there is no reason that data will need to not right away seem on your iPad.
The details can be downloaded 1 way from the satellite to all the vehicles of that type, and that will be relayed to your tablet or iPad. Your iPad should really also be able to be a actual time streaming GPS unit that you can hook in a cradle when you get into your car.
When your vehicle wants gas, the map on your GPS auto interface will list all the gas stations nearby. Why not? It is not as if we do not have the technologies now. The only reason this doesn't exist is because there are so many various kinds of systems, and proprietary software.
The consumer would really like to have these kinds of issues, and we need to develop them. If we are going to sell vehicles for upwards of $50,000 for the luxury models, they should certainly be able to do just about almost everything. And why not - we have the technologies?
Your iPad could also be your alarm program for your automobile, and you should be able to turn the radio on from the Starbucks patio, honk the horn, unlock the doors, adjust the seat just for you, or a number of other issues. There is no reason this does not exist yet, we have all the technology now, and the consumers want it. Please give consideration to all this.
